Full course description

This course is designed to provide people with the tools to uncover their own unique set of values, vision, and purpose that are foundational to the creation of their story.
Ideal for students, artists, entrepreneurs, job seekers, business and non-profit executives or managers alike, “Lead with Your Story” addresses how to effectively communicate about your strengths, experiences, and how you’ve navigated change.

In short, this is the answer to the question “Tell me about yourself” or “Tell me about your idea / your vision / your purpose.” This is a particularly valuable skill to acquire when facing an uncertain market.

Participants in the course will learn the methodology that has been used by Fortune 1000 corporations such as Prudential, Cigna, Disney, large foundations and non-profit organizations such as UNICEF, as well as tech start-up’s, and innovative companies like Warby Parker.

The format of the course provides experiential learning that will deepen communication skills and develop a listen-first mindset.

Create and deliver a story that sticks—about who they are and what they do.
Clarify the “why?” behind their story and the “why now?” to capture the urgency.
Use sensory detail to generate powerful emotional resonance for their listeners.
Mine their experiences for great material.
Streamline their thoughts and shape their story arc.
Present in a natural way that feels unrehearsed and genuine.
Create their own 4-minute story for meetings, pitches, vision/mission statement, or interviews.
